Witnesses who will support your case will generally attend your trial voluntarily. Similarly, the other side’s witnesses will also attend voluntarily to support their case. There may be instances, however, where you would need a Court order to compel a witness to attend at trial. This process is called summoning a witness. A witness could be summoned for a variety of reasons. You may be concerned that the witness will not attend without a court order, or it may simply be that the witness needs to show a court document to his/her employer to get the time off to attend. Whatever the reason may be, if you believe you must summon a witness to attend at your trial, this course provides you the guidance.

This course is offered for free.
